As the Director of Talent Management for North America, Global Marketing, Incubation, Brand Homes, Global Legal and Communications at Bacardi, Laura focuses on leadership development, coaching, talent and succession planning and helping to build the pipeline and grow future leaders. She has over 20 years of Human Resources experience in various industries including electronics, telecommunications and spirits.
A large focus of her work is to build capabilities for future leaders, ensuring the right talent is in the right roles at the right time. Much of her time is also spent coaching employees and leaders alike on many issues and challenges faced in the workplace. As a certified coach by ICF (International Coach Federation) she brings a fresh, objective perspective to a situation and help coachees realize their own best solutions to achieve their goals and unlock their potential.
Laura is passionate about helping others unleash their potential to find all that is within them to grow and achieve their goals. She has also coached/mentored women and high school girls outside of the organization on a voluntary basis, wanting to help women advance into leadership roles.
Laura has been a part of the Women in Leadership (WIL) initiative at Bacardi since it’s inception in 2014 in various roles and served as Co-Chair for WIL in North America. She helped to create and launch the WIL Development Series; a program designed to grow and develop female leaders focusing on self-leadership to become better leaders at home, at work and in society at large and played pivotal roles in attracting and retaining women in the organization. She also currently works on Bacardi’s Belonging initiatives and sits on the board of Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida.
She lives in Miami with her husband, young daughter, and dog and is a graduate of Florida
International University. Her favorite cocktail is a Bombay Sapphire G&T with fruit and herbs.
